The latest updates for NaturalVision Evolved and NaturalVision Enhanced have arrived, bringing major visual improvements to Grand Theft Auto V across both Legacy and Enhanced editions. Let’s take a closer look at what these newest versions offer.

What Is NaturalVision?

For those unfamiliar, NaturalVision Evolved (NVE) is a popular visual overhaul mod designed for GTA 5 Legacy. Meanwhile, players using GTA 5 Enhanced can experience the upgraded visuals through NaturalVision Enhanced, a version built specifically to take advantage of modern rendering features.

NaturalVision Enhanced – Built for Ray Tracing

NaturalVision Enhanced is a complete visual upgrade that fully utilizes GTA 5 Enhanced’s ray tracing capabilities. According to the mod creator, the mod reworks nearly every visual aspect of the game, including:

• Weather systems
• Lighting and ambient colors
• World textures and models
• Vegetation and environmental detail

One of the most impressive improvements is that all light sources can now cast shadows, something the vanilla game did not support. This change significantly enhances ray-traced shadows, allowing every object in the world to cast realistic RT shadows for a far more immersive experience.

December 2025 Update – NaturalVision Enhanced

The December 2025 update for NaturalVision Evolved adds compatibility with GTA 5 Legacy version 1.0.3725.0 and brings several new visual features and optimizations.

One of the biggest additions is a new puddle shader that introduces screen-space reflections, making wet roads and surfaces reflect surrounding lights and environments realistically.

The update also adds advanced rain effects. Raindrops now appear on vehicles and weapons, enhancing immersion during stormy weather. A brand-new screen raindrop effect causes droplets to slide across the screen based on vehicle speed, simulating real-world rain behavior.

In addition, the Volumetric Fog shader has been improved, offering smoother transitions and more realistic atmospheric depth. Rain weather has also received better lighting and color balance, resulting in more natural-looking storms.

To ensure smooth gameplay, the modder has also included performance optimizations, making the mod more stable and efficient across a wide range of systems.

Performance and Stability

Despite its advanced visuals, NaturalVision Evolved is carefully optimized for GTA 5 Legacy. While a mid-to-high-end system is recommended, the December 2025 update improves performance and reduces unnecessary visual overhead, making the experience smoother than previous versions.

Players can also customize features based on their hardware, allowing them to balance visuals and performance.
