How to Recover Your Crimson Desert Save Game After Update

If you’ve lost your save files after the latest Crimson Desert update, don’t worry! The update creates a new user data folder, but your old saves are still there. Follow this guide to restore them in under 2 minutes.

📁 Step 1: Run the Game with the New Update

• Launch Crimson Desert with the newer version / crack
• Start a new game (just long enough to create save files)
• Exit the game completely

📂 Step 2: Locate Your Save Folder

Press Windows Key + R, type the following, and press Enter:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Pearl Abyss\CD\save

like: C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Pearl Abyss\CD\save

This will open the save folder directly.

🔑 Step 3: Identify the Two Numbered Folders

Inside the save folder, you’ll see two folders with numbers as names:

• 22202 – Old folder (contains your original saves)
• 774143852 – New folder (created after running the new version)

🗑️ Step 4: Clear the New Folder

• Open the new folder (774143852)
• Delete all contents inside it (select all files, right-click, and click Delete)

📋 Step 5: Transfer Your Old Saves

• Open the old folder (22202)
• Select all files (slot0, slot1, slot2, etc.)
• Right-click and select Copy (or press Ctrl + C)
• Open the new folder (774143852)
• Right-click on an empty area and select Paste (or press Ctrl + V)

🎮 Step 6: Launch the Game

Start Crimson Desert. Your old save files should now appear in the load game menu!

• No numbered folders? Make sure you’ve launched the game at least once after the update.
• Both folders have saves? Compare file dates – the folder with older dates is your original save.
• Only one numbered folder? Run the new version, start a new game, then exit to generate the second folder.
