About
The first installment, Gears of War, was released on November 7, 2006 for the Xbox 360. The game follows protagonist Marcus Fenix, a soldier in the Coalition of Ordered Governments tasked to lead a last-ditch effort to destroy the Locust Horde and save humanity.

Game is NOT saving progress with the current crack. However, you can force it to start from any of the 36 available checkpoints.
1. Make backup of the folder “…\Wargame\Checkpoints\”.
2. To start game from checkpoint 17, rename file “…\Wargame\Checkpoints\chapter17.sav” to “chapter0.sav”.
3. Start New Game in main menu in usual way.
4. Quit to desktop and repeat steps 2-3 for any other checkpoint. No other solution for now.
This game was tested in 2018 under “Windows 10 2018”, build 1803 or 1809. The easiest way to play it today is downloading old Windows ISO with this exact build number (1803 or 1809) and installing it there. If you have multiple harddrives – it shouldn’t be a problem, just install different OS on another drive, enable developer mode, reboot, disable network card and your Win10 exclusive games will work forever.
