Just copy & paste "steam_api64.dll.bak" and "steam_api64.dll" files from v0.1 Assetto Corsa Evo zip file.

Make sure you have sufficient free space on the drive (at least 50Gb) otherwise it will not be able to backup and patch the file. It does not tell you this is why it fails.
i have 180gb of free space after installing.
